The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will separate from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party understands precisely where to go next after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death initiated the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the party enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Questers and Schemers parties.

Fans can look forward to finding out which players will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
